Transit route
A transit route first sends the connection to a suitable entry point, then uses an intermediate path to reach the target region. This can avoid some less-effective direct paths and support different exits by region. It balances coverage, everyday stability and resource costs, making it a practical choice for most routine cross-border access.
For international websites, online documents, AI tools or standard-quality video, start with a transit entry point near the target region. If pages load normally but sustained downloads are slow, try another transit route in the same region; if sessions disconnect frequently, compare it with a dedicated line.
Direct route
A direct route connects your current network straight to the target exit without an additional transit entry point. Its path is relatively simple, and resource costs are generally easier to control. When the path between your local network and the target region is strong, direct access can handle web browsing, lightweight apps and backup connectivity.

Is the closest server always the best choice?
Not necessarily. For everyday browsing, start with a nearby region, but streaming, company systems, AI tools and games often require a specific target region. Meet the regional requirement first, then compare cities and route types within that region.
Is an IEPL dedicated line suitable for every use case?
IEPL dedicated lines are best for connection continuity, long sessions and sustained transfers. If direct access from your local network to the target region is already stable, direct or transit routes may meet everyday needs. Choose based on the actual use case.
Why are there different routes in the same city?
A city identifies the exit region, while routes may use different entry points, forwarding paths or resource arrangements. Offering multiple types in one city lets you compare path performance without changing the region.
What if I still cannot see the target content after opening a streaming entry?
First confirm that the selected exit matches the target content-library region, then close and reopen the app. If the result is unchanged, try another entry in the same region. Account location, content licensing and platform detection rules can also affect what appears.
Do different devices have to use the same route?
